Continued outside the bar counter.
The LED lamp I brought with me is kept close at hand.
It is probably because I am naive that I feel it has the atmosphere of a bar late at night. In reality, the image is only grainy and rough, and it was taken just after two in the afternoon. But for me now, a late-night bar is a different world where I can't go.

After dinner and tidying up, the only thing left to do is sleep. Even if I stay awake, all I can think about is the things that don't do me any good.I rarely stay up until 10pm, and some days I fall asleep before 9pm. If I close my eyes, I fall asleep immediately, but, sadly because I am old, I keep waking up in the middle of the night and going back to sleep. It is a long time ago that I used to drink all night and talk about silly things. Even after I started working, when I was still young, I used to drink until after the last train. ......

As I got older, my taste preferences changed, I started to crave red bean paste. Whisky goes well with chocolate, raisin butter and other sweet things, but ever since I had some Ote Manju from Okayama, I have been craving red bean paste irresistibly when I drink hot water whisky. When I found out that Ote Manju was on sale twice a week at a department store in Sannomiya, I bought some. 10 pieces per box. One-week best-before date. In the same basement food section, there were also kintsuba, which I also bought. These have a shelf life of just two days! I thought about buying five, but decided on two.
After that, there were days when I wanted to eat sakamanju, and I searched all over the place for this as well. However, I was told that it was not on sale at the moment, that it was inconvenient to go there by train... Above all, when I thought again about how many I was going to buy and take home to my home, where I was the only one, I started to feel ridiculous.
In the end, I decided to hold out for amanatto, and brought it with me on the day of the shoot.
I gave it a taste to yun@san, who said she had never eaten it before.
Her impression was that it was "soft".

Late night bars are a different world. Whisky and red bean paste.
If I told my wife that, she would laugh at me.
I can see her laughing.

It was snowing when I left after the shoot this day. There was still some time left in the evening, even though it was in Minami, Osaka.

バーカウンターの外での続き。
持参したLEDランプを手元に置いている。
深夜の酒場という雰囲気が出ている気がするのは私がナイーブな所為だろう。実際は、粒子の荒いザラついた画像に過ぎないし、撮影した時刻も、漸く昼の2時を過ぎたばかり。しかし、今の私にとって、深夜の酒場は、行くに行けない別世界だ。

夕食を食べ終わり、片付けが済むと、後はもう眠るしかない。起きていて想うのは凡そ益の無いことばかり。10時まで起きているのは稀で、9時前に寝てしまう日も。目を閉じれば、すぐに眠ってしまうのだが、年寄りの哀しさ、そこから夜中に何度も目が覚めて、また眠るを繰り返す。夜通し飲んで、他愛ない話をしていたのは、遠い昔のことだ。勤め出してからでも、まだ若い時分は、終電を過ぎてしまうこともあったのだが。……

歳をとると、味の嗜好も変わるのか、餡子を食べたいと思うようになった。ウィスキーにはチョコレートやレーズンバター等、甘いものが合うのだが、岡山の大手饅頭を食べて以来、湯割りのウィスキーを飲んでいると、無性に餡子が欲しくなる。三宮の百貨店で週に2度、大手饅頭が販売されているのを知って、購入した。1箱10個入り。賞味期限は1週間。同じ地下食品売り場には、きんつばもあり、これも購入した。こちらの賞味期限は僅か2日間!5個くらい買おうと考えたが、2個にした。
その後、酒饅頭が食べたくなる日もあり、これもあちらこちらを検索してみた。しかし、今は販売期間ではないとか、電車で行くには不便だとか…、何よりも、私しかいない我が家へ一体幾つ買って帰るつもりなのか、改めて考えるとバカバカしくなってきた。
結局、甘納豆で我慢することにして、この日の撮影時にも、それを持参している。
食べたことがないというyun@さんにも味見してもらった。
「柔らかいものなのですね。」
という感想だった。

深夜の酒場は別世界。ウィスキーに餡子。
そう妻に話せば、笑われるに違いない。
笑う顔が目に浮かぶ。

この日の撮影を終えて帰るとき、雪が降っていた。夕方までまだ時間のある頃、大阪、ミナミであるのに。
