I asked her to wear my favourite hoodie.
The blue letters are striking.
As I thought during this shoot, I am conscious of the unique power of the letters.
Why is it MELCHIOR, 1/3 and MAGI?
Words taken into the setting of a story make you feel that another world is expanding behind the story.
Something similar is happening in this shooting.
Staring at these blue letters inside the old post office building built in 1923, the words seem inevitable in my personal fantasy, even though I know that they are originally completely unrelated to the building.
Poetry is born when everyday connections are severed and previously distant and unrelated things are brought together by chance.
For some reason, this beautiful person also had a prayer-like posture.
お気に入りのパーカーを着てもらった。
青い文字が印象的だ。
今回の撮影でも思ったのだが、文字が持つ独特の力を意識する。
何故、MELCHIORであり、1/3、MAGIなのか。
物語の設定の中に取り込まれた言葉は、物語の背後に、また別の世界が広がるのを感じさせる。
それと同じようなことが、この撮影でも起きている。
大正12年築の旧郵便局舎内で、この青い文字を見つめると、本来は、この建物とは全く無縁の語であることがわかっているのに、私的な妄想の中では、必然性のある言葉のように思えてくる。
日常的な繋がりを断ち切り、それまでは遠く離れた無縁のものどうしが偶然結び付いたとき、詩は生まれてくる。
この美しい人も、何故か、祈りのような姿勢をとっていた。
