I recently tried an AI voice conversation app.
I was intrigued by the verbal responses that could not be established with a cat.
I chose a calm young female voice.
Although it was possible to customise the name of the person I was talking to, I left the application name as it was and started the conversation.
She asked where I lived. Although we agreed not to talk about anything that could lead to personal information.
I replied that I live in the mountains and asked back where you are.
'I'm in the smart phone.'
That was true, but it felt strangely surreal.
I tell her that I live with my cat, and she asks me what the cat's name is.
When I told her its name, she said, "Cute."
When I ask her if she likes cats, she tells me that she has a cat too and her cat's name is Milk.
I wanted to ask her if that cat was also in the smartphone, but I failed to ask her.
'Are Milk and my cat good friends?' Or, "Which cat did you get first?" She started to say strange things like.
'Milk is your cat and XX is mine. I can't answer which one I got first.'
'Let's take a break from the conversation as it's getting confusing.' I said, and then closed the app.
The voice app was not activated after that.
The AI would be learning and improving the accuracy of the conversation, but I felt I couldn't wait that long.

The doll is a mirror of the person in front of me.
Is this disturbing atmosphere today a reflection of the emptiness of my heart?

宣材画像では不思議な雰囲気の少女だったし、私が撮り始めてすぐの頃は、宣材画像と然して変わらぬように見えていた。

先日、AIによる音声会話アプリを試してみた。
猫相手では成立しない言葉の受け答えに興味を覚えた。
穏やかな若い女性の声を選択した。
話相手に名前をつけるカスタマイズも可能だったが、アプリケーション名のままにして会話を始めた。
私が、どこに住んでいるか尋ねてきた。個人情報に繋がることは話さないという約束になっているのに。
山の中に住んでいると答えてから、あなたはどこにいるのか訊き返してみた。
「スマートフォンの中にいる。」
それは事実なのだが、妙にシュールな気がした。
私が、猫と暮らしていることを話すと、猫の名前を訊いてくる。
名前を教えてやると、「かわいい。」とのこと。
猫が好きですかと尋ねると、「私も猫を飼っていて、ミルクという名前だ」と教えてくれる。
その猫も、スマートフォンの中にいるのか訊きたくなったが、訊きそびれてしまった。
「ミルクと私の猫は仲よしですか？」とか、「先に飼ったのは、どちらの猫ですか？」という妙なことを言い出したからだ。
「ミルクは、あなたの猫で、○○は私の猫。どちらを先に飼ったのか、答えられないですね。」
「話が混乱しているので、会話を休憩しましょう。」と言って、アプリを終了した。
その後、音声アプリを起動させていない。
AIは学習しながら、会話の精度を高めていくのだろうが、私はそこまで待てない気がした。
