I had to deliver a cat to my daughter when she was discharged from hospital.
Would I hurt my back if I carried a rucksack-style carrier? It was too late to regret it later. I had planned to take a taxi until just before I left home.
However, when I put the cat in the backpack, it was surprisingly light. I thought I could go by train for a short time, so I hurriedly bought a Shinkansen ticket online. The 12-minute journey from Shin-Kobe to Shin-Osaka could be spent standing on the deck, without disturbing other passengers.
As my daughter's cat was curious, she probably looked out of the large transparent plastic window in the carrier. She hardly meowed during the journey. Not so with my scared cat. She would have been put in the carrier and mewed constantly because she was anxious about being taken somewhere.
At Shin-Kobe Station, a pink train I had never seen before entered the up platform. I wondered if I could get on it. I wondered, but got in without caring. The train that departed immediately was the Hello Kitty Shinkansen from Hakata to Shin-Osaka. I didn't go to see what was going on inside, but there were signs on the train's information map saying ‘HELLO! PLAZA’ and ‘KAWAII! ROOM’ .When the train arrived at Shin-Osaka, there were many large foreign women trying to take photos of the train ....... Of course, they were accompanied by even larger men.
I wondered if there were any Japanese in the crowd, as all I could hear was the language of other countries.
Social networking must be a glamorous commercial activity.
As I am not involved in commercial activities, it has become a distant world to me.
A train decorated with pink ribbons caught my eye, but this too was out of place for me.
It occurred to me that European stone houses must be cold. Even if the house was heated by burning a lot of wood.
I would have to wear leather boots inside the house.
I was making this slide with such an idle thought in my mind.
I dwell in my own personal fantasy world.
退院した娘のもとへ猫を届けにいった。
リュックサック形式のキャリーを背負ったら腰を痛めるのではないか。後で悔やんでからでは遅い。家を出る直前までタクシーを使うつもりでいた。
しかし、猫を入れて背負ってみると、意外に軽い。短時間なら電車で行けそうに思い、急遽、新幹線のチケットをネット購入した。新神戸から新大阪まで１２分、デッキで立ったまま過ごせば、他の乗客にも迷惑はかからない。
娘の猫は好奇心旺盛であるため、キャリーに設けられた透明プラスチックの大きな窓から外を眺めていたのだろう。移動中ほとんど鳴かなかった。我が家の怖がりの猫では、そうはいかない。キャリーに入れられ、どこかへ連れていかれる不安のため、鳴きどおしになるだろう。
新神戸駅、上りホームに入ってきたのは見たこともないピンクの車両。これに乗れるのか？と訝しく思いながらも構わず乗り込んだ。すぐに発車した列車は博多～新大阪間のハローキティ新幹線。列車内がどうなっているのか見に行くことはしなかったが、車内案内図にはHELLO!PLAZA とか KAWAII！ROOM なる表示も。新大阪に到着すると列車を写そうとする大柄の外国女性が幾重にも……。むろん彼女らに、それぞれお伴の、さらに大柄な男性諸氏も。
人垣に日本人はいたのだろうかと思うほど、他の国の言葉ばかりが聞こえていた。
SNSは華やかなコマーシャルなのだろう。
商業活動に無縁な私には、遠い世界になってしまっている。
ピンクのリボンに彩られた列車には目を惹かれたが、これも私には場違いだった。
ふと、ヨーロッパの石造りの家は、寒いだろうなと考えた。家の中で大量の薪を燃やして暖を取ったとしても。
革の長靴を家の中でも履かなければならないのだろう。
そんな他愛ないことを思いながら、このスライドを作っていた。
私は私だけの妄想の世界に棲んでいる。
