Late start of rainy season.
Immediately heavy rain.
In the olden days, the word 'masculine' would have been used.
Such words are probably dead now.
Listening to the sound of the rain, I wanted to photograph a doll wearing a black jacket with a brightly coloured slip peeping out.
The slip should be a red colour.
I was thinking of a synthetic leather jacket, but the one I had on hand was peeling at the cuffs due to age.
The black rider's jacket that replaced it was unlined.
The slip also went to blue instead of red.
At this stage of the blue colour change, I am conscious of the heroine I longed to be.
But the wig was silver, as originally suggested.
After an hour or so of shooting, I was half-satisfied that this was how it was going to be and started to tidy up the doll. The dark-coloured stuff is in direct contact with the silicone doll's skin, so it is strictly forbidden to leave the doll for long periods of time.
However, when I started to take the doll off, I was astonished.
Instead of the blue slip, the black of the rider's jacket had transferred colour. The areas covered by the shoulder straps of the slip and bra are white like sunburn marks. There were also bruises here and there on her arms, like beatings.
I considered wrapping a wrapping sheet around her when I put her on, but regretted my naive decision to think that she would be fine for a short time.
Wiping with a wet sheet containing 'alkaline electrolytic water', which removes oil stains, seemed to remove some of them. As a clean wipe several times, without scrubbing hard.
The pigment may just have been absorbed deep into the silicon body, but the tanned skin looks as if it has cooled down over time.
My fingertips, I noticed, were tinged blue and, bitterly, I just had to give up.
遅い梅雨入り。
たちまち大雨。
昔の表現なら、「男性的な」という表現がなされたのだろうが。
そんな言葉は、今では、死語なのだろう。
雨音を聞いていたら、鮮やかな色のスリップ覗かせて黒い上着を羽織る人形を撮ってみたくなった。
スリップは赤い色を。
上着はフェイクレザーのものを考えていたが、手持ちのものは袖口が経年劣化のために剥がれ落ちていた。
代わりの黒いライダースジャケットには裏地が付いていなかった。
スリップも赤ではなく青へ。
青にした段階で、憧れのヒロインを意識する。
だが、ウィッグは最初の案のとおりシルバーにした。
１時間ほど撮影して、こんなものかなと半ば満足して、人形の片付けにとりかかった。濃い色のものをシリコンドールの肌に直接触れさせているので、長時間の放置は厳禁だ。
しかし人形を脱がせ始めて、愕然とする。
青のスリップではなく、ライダースジャケットの黒が色移りしていた。スリップとブラの肩紐に覆われていた部分が、日焼け跡のように白くなっている。腕のあちこちには打ち身のような痣も。
着せるときに、ラップシートを巻くことを考えたのだが、短時間なら大丈夫ではないかと甘い判断をしたことが悔やまれる。
油汚れを落とす「アルカリ電解水」を含むウェットシートで拭くと、いくらか落ちたようだ。強く擦らず何度か清拭のように。
色素がシリコンボディの深部に吸い込まれただけなのかもしれないが、日焼けした肌が、時間が経って冷めていったような風情になる。
私の指先が、青くそまっているのに気づいて、苦々しく思いながらも、ただ諦めるしかなかった。
