題名の"Ampoi"は、Clark Ashton Smithの短編小説"The Root of Ampoi"より借用した。
If you ask me if I wanted to be bigger, of course I wanted to be taller than 170 cm, but I didn't grow any taller after entering high school. I spent my adult life as tall as I was in junior high school, and as I got older, I gradually shrank in height. I feel sad about that, but for some reason I don't want to be a giant. I have thought many times that I would rather be a resident of the S model district of the Ultra Q '1/8 project'.
I sometimes thought that it was probably the result of a desire to disappear and misanthropy, but then I learnt that Natsume Soseki wrote a haiku about how he wished he had been born as small as a violet, and I reconsidered whether the desire to be small might be derived from self-consciousness or ego strength.
