The shooting location was planned for the end of August last year.
At the time, I had vaguely intended to shoot 'a young lady in a summer holiday resort'.
However, the plans fell through and the season changed.
Instead of taking the Koyo Line, we walked south from Shukugawa Station.
Finally, back at Shukugawa Station once more, on the Koyo Line platform.
Do you know Haruhi Suzumiya?
I boldly asked.
She twisted her head and smiled back without saying anything.
Surprisingly, I was not disappointed.
The first TV broadcast was in 2006, followed by another in 2009.
There was no way she could have known about it.
Women who think they like endless "depressing" male monologues are, well, rare.
Especially if she was running around playing basketball or lacrosse.
I thought as I stared at her silent smile.
Funny thing is, towards the end of the shoot, she started to have hiccups and couldn't stop.
Smiling with the Koyo Line train in the background. Maybe half of it was because the hiccups that wouldn't stop were funny even to her.
The smiling faces were simply mesmerizing. It was a fun shoot.
