I feel like I smelled summer, even though I feel chilly.
I was looking at a painting by a well-known illustrator.
A high school girl with a short cut is spraying water with a hose.
There is a large sponge gourd hanging in the air, and at the end of the hose is a man in slippers, puffing on a cigarette. Is he a university student? Or is he a laboratory-going graduate student because he is wearing what looks like a lab coat?
Either way, the man puffing on a cigarette and staring at a book or a tablet reminds one of 四畳半神話大系（the Yonjohann Mythology series).
Disappointing man. Useless.
Just a floating dreamer, blind to everything around him.
Is the thick sponge gourd a symbol of his dream?
This doll's eyes, which contained something in them, reminded me of some of the scenery of the past.
The dream was filled with the smell of summer.
