A long time ago, I came across the term 蝉羽衣（cicada wing costumes） in someone's tanka collection.
It was given a reading in katakana that had nothing to do with the combination of Chinese characters, and a light green, delicate piece of lace fabric formed an image in my mind.
The fragility of an insect with only a short time left as an adult and the beauty of a secretive little piece of cloth certainly had something in common.
Today's photo shoot was not only because of my fascination with the newly acquired little costume, but also to clear up some hazy feelings I had when I visited a doll exhibition.
I do not believe that there is a right or wrong way to display dolls. I suppose the only way is to have a large number of dolls seen by a large number of visitors under limited conditions. However, for me at present, a space filled with lighting that eliminates shadows is uncomfortable.
I am fascinated by the dolls in shadows.
